Operate machine(s) as defined in the Machine Operator Manual and following all safety procedures.  Perform simple changeover and set up.  Load supplies and make adjustments to semi-automated machine(s).  Machine operator is responsible for ensuring the machine works properly, utilizing the correct materials for the product and keeping the equipment running.   The Operator must demonstrate a detailed understanding of the quality requirements for the products being produced and able to make adjustments as necessary to achieve maximum quality.  In addition is responsible for troubleshooting equipment effectively and appropriately seeking assistance of a trained mechanic. When necessary clearly communicating equipment problems to the mechanic and asking questions if necessary.  Reports any problem with the equipment or supplies to their supervisor or team leader. The primary purpose of this position is to lead engineering activities for plant operations. This individual will be key member of plant leadership team and will help set strategic direction for the plant operations. As an Engineering Manager this individual will lead, coach and develop plant engineering, maintenance and other technical resources. Key accountabilities include, plant capital management, existing asset and infrastructure reliability and management, and brand protection by providing technical leadership in human and food safety and sustainability initiatives.

Operator evaluates throughput problems and bottlenecks and makes reasonable recommendations to solve the problem.  Reports any problem with the equipment or supplies to their Supervisor, Shift Lead or Team Leader.
